Investment advice

Our investment consulting team provides investment advice to a wide range of organisations including superannuation funds, wealth managers, charitable trusts, community trusts, church groups and iwi.

Our investment consulting services can include:

  • development of an appropriate investment governance structure
  • formulation, documentation and review of investment policy
  • drafting of a Statement of Investment Policy and Objectives (SIPO)
  • selection and monitoring of investment managers
  • compliance with the requirements of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013

Our key strengths are:

  • Independence – Aon is not manager or distributor of wholesale investment products and we are independent of all fund managers. This means we can offer impartial advice and support when it comes to selecting, reviewing and monitoring investment managers. As a result, our clients can be assured that the investment solutions that we recommend are the ones that best match their goals and objectives.

  • Local experience with global support – our New Zealand consulting team has a wealth of local experience, but we also benefit from the expertise and the resources of the global Aon group. Aon is one of the largest investment consultants in the world, with over US$4.6 trillion in assets under advice. Globally, we have over 600 colleagues, who serve over 2,200 investment consulting clients. We know the local market and can provide relevant and appropriate advice for New Zealand clients – but we also have access to global best practice solutions.

  • Tailored investment solutions – our team has been providing actuarial and investment consulting advice in New Zealand since 1979. We have proven experience in providing investment solutions to a broad range of clients, both large and small. We tailor our services to meet the needs of our clients – we don’t force clients into a standardised ‘Corporate’ solution.
